Kenny Chesney and Uncle Kracker Rock Times Square for PLAN!T NOW

September 8, 2009 — PLAN!T NOW (P!N) ally and country music superstar Kenny Chesney and singer/songwriter Uncle Kracker will play in New York City’s Times Square for Hard Rock International’s 2009 Ambassadors of Rock Tour (AOR). True to its “Love All, Serve All” creed, Hard Rock will donate proceeds from the concert to PLAN!T NOW.

The reigning Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year, Kenny Chesney is a truth-teller the Los Angeles Times deemed “Entertainer of the People.” His friend and co-star, Uncle Kracker, is responsible for chart-toppers like “Smile” and “Follow Me”. His special appearance with Chesney coincides with the release of his new album, Happy Hour.

Chesney is currently the biggest North American ticket seller in all music genres, and he is proud to serve on P!N’s Board of Directors. The AOR performance at Times Square will be more intimate, reflective of the man beyond the million-ticket-selling phenomenon.

“As part of this global program we are hosting iconic artists around the world, and we are thrilled to bring one of the world’s biggest and most successful stadium acts to the crossroads of the world – our New York Cafe,” said Sean Dee, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Hard Rock International.

Hard Rock Café’s AOR Tour is not only a global concert series featuring today’s top artists, it’s a Hard Rock International community service effort. A percentage of the proceeds from every concert is donated to a charitable cause. The NYC Kenny Chesney concert coincides with National Preparedness Month, a time where government and civil society groups continue the work of preparing for emergencies of all sorts, and in P!N’s case, those caused by hurricanes and tropical storms.
